The Nanlux Matrix 2500C, supplied here as the NANLUX Evoke Matrix 2500C Flight Case Kit, is a transport ready, full-color 2500W multi-source spotlight built for demanding professional productions. Large-scale film, television, commercial production, rental houses and advanced lighting arrays all need high output, full-color control and fast setup, and this kit delivers all three.

Nebula C8 color engine and output

The Matrix 2500C runs on the NANLUX Nebula C8 Color Light Engine, which combines deep red, red, amber, lime, green, cyan, blue and indigo LEDs. Because of this eight-color mix, the fixture reaches a CCT range of 1000K to 20,000K with green/magenta adjustment of +/-200, and it supports a broad color gamut, strong saturation and accurate skin tone reproduction.

The fixture also offers seven lighting modes: CCT, HSI, HSIW, RGBW, XY Coordinates, Gel and Effect, so it suits both accurate white-light work and complex color setups. On its own, it delivers 9570 lux at 3m at 5600K. With the included FL-MT25 Motorized Fresnel Lens at 16 degrees, however, output climbs to 67,900 lux at 3m at 5600K. The motorized Fresnel zooms from 16 to 48 degrees, and operators can adjust the beam angle remotely across all four lenses at once.

Building modular lighting arrays

Productions can build larger modular lighting systems around the Matrix 2500C. Its compact form factor and lamp spacing create smooth beam and shadow transitions when crews place several fixtures together. For example, the optional four-light frame lets four Matrix fixtures combine into a 10,000W lighting array, and crews can rig multiple arrays together on truss systems to form an even larger modular matrix for high-output applications.

Housing, cooling and connectivity

An all-in-one body integrates the control unit and power adapter into the fixture, which reduces setup complexity on site. A one-piece magnesium alloy housing gives the fixture strength while keeping it relatively light for its class, and an IP66 rating handles rain, heat and dust in challenging production environments.

A front-to-rear airflow system manages cooling and specifically reduces heat build-up in dense array configurations. Four fan modes cover Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed and Off. In Smart mode, the fixture automatically adjusts fan speed to ambient temperature, which helps maintain stable performance while cutting unnecessary fan noise.

Control and accessories

The Matrix 2500C supports on-board control, remote controller, wired controller, NANLINK App, DMX/RDM, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-Net/sACN and NFC. NFC lets teams batch configure DMX parameters across multiple fixtures, while DMX lets them control each lamp head individually, so lighting teams keep detailed control across large arrays and the fixture can respond dynamically in virtual production environments.

In addition, a new accessory interface with electronic contacts lets the fixture recognize compatible modifiers automatically. This enables operation of dedicated motorized modifiers and automatic color-shift correction, so changeovers between setups stay fast.
