DMX Cables

A DMX cable is the wired backbone of any lighting rig that runs off a lighting desk rather than app control, carrying dimming and colour data from a console or controller to every fixture on the chain. Punklight stocks standard 5 pin DMX cables in a range of lengths, built for the daily wear of being coiled, run across a studio floor and struck at the end of a shoot day.

Reliable DMX cable matters more than it gets credit for: a damaged or low quality cable is one of the most common causes of flickering or unresponsive fixtures on set, especially at the end of a long DMX run. Stocking a few spares of the right length here is cheap insurance against losing time mid shoot.
