Back in Amsterdam, 2015, at the IBC Show, the idea first sparked:
What if, instead of just buying film gear… we started selling it?
We were watching the industry shift, LED, DMX, wireless control, and we saw an opportunity.
In 2016, the first shape of PUNKLIGHT began to form.
Today, PUNKLIGHT operates as a distributor and reseller of film and TV equipment, primarily across Scandinavia, Iceland, and the Baltics, but we’ve delivered gear all over the world.
We’re driven by passion for the industry, always tracking down the latest, smartest, and most game-changing tools for all of you out there working hardcore for the art, the business and fun of filmmaking.
In 2017, our very first studio request came from RÚV in Iceland.
Since then, we’ve delivered studio lighting for Swedish TV, EA Sports, and Stena Line to mention a few. We also do architectural lighting design.
